Cozy and Lightweight Sleeping Bag for Chilly Adventures

Camping out under the stars has never been more comfortable! This sleeping bag feels like a warm hug on those frosty nights. It's so light, I can carry it on my hikes without breaking a sweat. The waterproof material is a lifesaver when unexpected rain clouds roll in. Plus, being wearable lets me shuffle around the campsite without leaving my snug cocoon. It's a trusty companion for any outdoor escapade!

Good Quality, a bit Pricey

I've come to really appreciate the ATEPA brand here from the marketplace. This bag is no exception. Great build, superior loft and weight, just a darn good bag to pack in and out.

It's a tad expensive when compared to some of my other bags, but still a solid performer and price window. I would like to see it come down a bit in cost, but when it does this bag is a no-brainer to buy. Good stuff!

Nicely made but hand wash only, with a 43F temp rating

Temperature ratings given are inconsistent. Printed on the compression sack is "Comfort: 42.8F/6C, Limit: 33.8F/1C, Extreme: 8.6F/-13C". From my experience, this seems the most accurate, and is the only one which claims standardized testing. ("Temperature Test: EN13537:2012") Everything else has roughly the same numbers, but labeled differently. The range in one of the product images matches, calling 6C/43F "Comfort", 1C/33F "Limit", and -13C/9F "extreme".
The "About this item" area mentions 33-43F as comfortable when it should be "transition", with 9F as 'limited'. Finally, the "Temperature Rating" field is way off at 16-30C (61-86F).

The description also does not mention the bag is rated for hand-wash only. The only basin I have large enough to wash a sleeping bag is my bathtub, but I honestly feel it would be fine in a non-agitating washing machine. Full care instructions state hand wash only, do not bleach, do not tumble dry, do not iron, do not dry clean.

This bag feels very nicely made, and is quite comfortable to sleep in. I'm 6'2" and it's plenty large enough for me. The '3D footbox' mentioned really does help.

I'm somebody who generates a lot of heat while sleeping, and needs either a cold room or few layers. I did some testing, and found that while wearing a base layer (as EN and ISO ratings are written) and wool socks, it was just right at 55F. This lines up with what is printed on the compression sack, and is what I expected given the packability. I don't think you could reasonably expect to be comfortable at 33F.

Back to the construction, though. The shell and lining are on the thin side, but that's expected for how small this bag is when compressed. It still feels very durable. Stitching is all very nice, the two-way YKK zipper works well, and I couldn't find any defects anywhere. There are some really nice features, like a drawstring gusset at the shoulders/neck area to help retain heat, in addition to the drawstring around the 'hood'. As for the internal storage pocket, I like how they located it on the side opposite the zipper. That way, when you open the bag in the morning, you won't fling your phone across the tent. Finally, the hook and loop-closed flap at the top of the zipper will fold and attach to itself, so you don't have the hook side flapping around and snagging on things. Brilliant!

Inconsistencies about thermals and washing aside, I don't have much to complain about. The only thing is the labels; they're on the inside, and really don't feel nice against your feet in the night. At the very least, one is a proper materials label, confirming it is made with duck down and feathers with a polyester shell. It also reveals that KingCamp Outdoor Products Co., Ltd. is the manufacturer.

On the packing and storage front, you receive a compression sack and a larger storage bag. Shoving it into the compression sack wasn't at all difficult, just jam it in, close the drawstring, and use the outside straps to cinch it tightly. It's really nice they included a larger bag for long-term storage, so you don't wreck the insulation's loft.

Despite issues with how this bag is described, I really like it. It's comfortable, made well, and clearly had some proper thought put into its design. Price-wise, it falls in the middle for bags rated ~40F. It doesn't have a fancy name brand to earn the high prices some go for, but the design and quality definitely sets it apart from cheap options. I think that's pretty fair for a nicely-made bag with some very clever design features. I'm just rather annoyed it's listed as hand-wash only, when almost every other bag like it can be machine washed.
