I have been using this pillow at my fitness club since even the recumbent bike seat gets uncomfortable after about 15 minutes. It definitely helps. Also I have taken it on trips to use as a pillow to prop up my arm. It would be okay for between sore knees as well. The bag/pillow thing is a bit odd, but I like that I can deflate it for travel and then inflate it at my destination. Most of the time it holds air. When it doesn't I fiddle with it a bit until it works ok. I'm only giving it 3 stars because it is a bit odd, but if I was using it as they thought it could be used I might give it 4 stars.

I have purchased several cushions because i have a lumbar issues and while something is better than nothing, this is by far the most comfortable. Its compact and has straps to hold making it easier to travel with and its nice and firm. I use it not only on my shoulders but on my lower back to. Love it
